Title- Introduction to Robotics: Experience of a Summer Camp as a Recruiting Tool
Abstract- This paper describes a robotics summer camp that was held at the University of Puerto Rico- Aguadilla Campus during the summer 2015.This camp allowed high schools students, in a college environment, the approach to technology, led to collaboration and partnership to build and program robots.The main contribution of this paper is the evaluation of the camp's impact to influence the students to enroll to the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus. This impact was evaluated by using a pre-test and a post-test surveys that included content questions and interest questions. Additionally, the pre-test and the post-test surveys included questions on whether or not the camp influenced the students to enroll to the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus. The camp survey results indicated the success of the camp to influence the students to enroll to the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus
